Origin: South American
Humidity: Average to high.
Water: Water thoroughly and allow top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Keep soil barely moist in winter.
Fertilizer: Every 2 weeks Spring through Fall.
Soil: Mix 1 part peat moss-based and 1 part sand or perlite for good drainage.
TIPS: Keep it bushy with regular pruning. Will want to come out. Yellowing lower leaves are usually a sign of overwatering. If leaves grow without holes or splits, give the plant more light. Can sustain low light but grows better in bright light.

Acquired: 10/6/18
I purchased a smaller one, it fell feom fhe windowsill and ripped apart. I decided to go with a larger one; it’s huge with two new leaves sprouting. one of the large, newest leaves was bent and my die.
Overwatered the larger one started getting black areas on some of the llarger leaves. i put it in front of a grow light and cut back on the watering. I have new growth with black pieces, and a few yellowing leaves. A lot of different stuff going on with her.
11/5/118: Cut off 4 leaves today because of the overwatering. Goingi into the second week of not watering. Relocated under growth light with high humidity.
